Damien Needs Good Healing Thoughts

Here is an update on Damien. I just copied and pasted from a message sent to a friend who asked how he’s doing. If anyone wants to send him a hug, you can reach him on Facebook if you’re a “friend” of his on there or you can email him at damo.eire@gmail.com. I know he’d really appreciate it! And me too!

Damo is in still in Ireland . All sorts of things wrong with him because of the stress of chronic pain, constant pain meds, constant throwing up, constant antibiotics, constant infection in inner ear and sinus bone… when we got to Ireland, new doc said he has infection in the bone of his broken leg and is suffering from clinical exhaustion. And guess what- 2 days ago, he was riding in the car with his father and they got sided by a bus. Damien suffered slight fracture in the same leg and his dad has a sprained wrist and a bone chip in his shoulder. You had to ask, huh?!

But there actually is good news- We found an amazing GP for him there who just happens to also have been an orthopedic surgeon before he decided to just go back to regular medicine with a specialty in sports med. So he’s got connections and Damien has two appointments coming up in Nov. and Dec. with 2 different members of an orthopedic surgeon team. So, things are moving! Finallly! Fingers crossed by this time next year (the surgeries will take about 9 months), Damien will be walking around with a brand new leg and a brand new outlook on life!
